Ben Gurion University of the Negev

With over 20,000 students, including many international students, BGU is the largest academic institution in the South of Israel. It is a comprehensive university, offering degrees in science, engineering, medicine, social sciences and the humanities. It is well known as being a university with great student ambiance, and it couples this with active involvement in the community and cutting edge research in fields such as solar energy and genetic diseases.

Soroka Hospital

 

Soroka hospital is responsible for the well-being of more than 1 million people in an area covering roughly 60% of Israel, from Kiriyat Gat to Eilat. It's 4,200 employees treat more than 6.5 million visitors annually, as well as helping 14,000 children into the world, making Soroka one of the largest maternity wards in the Middle East. Moreover, more an more people from the region and beyond come to receive various treatments at Soroka.

Train Station

 

The Be'er Sheva North (University) train station is only a 10-minute walk away. A modern station, it enables you to go anywhere without regard for traffic-jams. A train ride to Tel Aviv will take roughly one hour. 

Beer Sheva Gev-Yam Hi-Tech Park

 

This High-Tech park, located a short drive or a brisk walk from the apartments is new but already houses some leading global companies such as Lockheed Martin, Oracle and Deutsche Telekom, well known Israeli venture capital firm JVP and many other companies such as dbMotion, RAD, EMC and Ness. 

Bars & Restaurants

 

Ringelblom Street, which is located just North of the apartments, houses several cafes/bars and eateries with everything from burgers to pasta, usually filled with BGU students.
